<p>Position overview</p>
<p><span class="caps">OCCRP</span> is looking for a tech-savvy journalist to work on topics such as cryptocurrencies, darknet research, domain ownership history and social networks. ● Familiarity with marketplaces and fora where criminals exchange tools and strategies.

<p>About the Program</p>
<p>The Open Mapping Hub Asia Pacific (the Hub) is committed to the emergence and evolution of women leaders within the <span class="caps">OSM</span> ecosystem and beyond. To support this commitment, the Hub invites 100 individuals who identify as women in the Asia Pacific region to participate in the She Leads and She Inspires program. This training and professional development opportunity will support women to become <span class="caps">OSM</span> community leaders, gaining skills in solutions based leadership, decision making, digital leadership, needs identification, networking, and transferable geospatial skills. </p>
<p>The program has been designed with, by and for women in (or hoping to step into!) leadership roles within their communities. ( Participants will be led through a series of webinars hosted by a range of professionals in leadership positions in the humanitarian mapping sector, and beyond. </p>
<p>The program will kick off with a 2-3 day intensive workshop in December to initiate the leadership journey, and will continue into the first 6 months of 2022. Across these 6 months, participants will work on a group project linked to humanitarian or development impact projects related to OpenStreetMap (<span class="caps">OSM</span>) data; this project will be supported by a group mentor. Each month there’ll be a new focus topic with a webinar, resources and an assignment. </p>
<p>All activities will be remote. </p>
<p>Participants of She Leads and She Inspires will receive approximately:</p>
<p>16-18 hours of interactive workshops / training in December 2021<br />
12 hours of training webinars from January to June 2022 (2 hours per month for 6 months)<br />
6 hours of group mentoring (1 hour per month for 6 months)</p>
<p>There will also be personal assignments and a group project for participants to work on between contact hours. We expect participants to dedicate approximately 2 hour per week to this work. </p>

<p>Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (<span class="caps">HOT</span>) sits at the nexus of participatory mapping, community-led development, humanitarian response, open data and tech. With a talented and diverse team spread around the globe, <span class="caps">HOT</span> is an <span class="caps">NGO</span> which supports a dynamic global community of thousands of dedicated volunteers using maps and open data for humanitarian response and the Sustainable Development Goals. Working with humanitarian and development partners like the Red Cross, Médecins Sans Frontières, UN agencies, governments and others, the <span class="caps">HOT</span> community maps in solidarity with those affected by or at risk of disaster, contributing the maps and data aid workers need to do their lifesaving work.</p>
<p>In 2020 the work of the <span class="caps">HOT</span> community was recognized by TED’s Audacious Project, a collaborative philanthropic initiative that serves as a springboard for social impact on a grand scale, leading to an exciting new phase of growth. <span class="caps">HOT</span> is expanding its activities: opening four regional hubs and scaling up its support to local mapping communities with the audacious goal of mapping an area home to one billion people in 94 countries at high risk of disasters or experiencing poverty – mapping with communities before they are in crisis.</p>
